A bookworm from an early age, Kate Thomson was born and raised in Hertfordshire, UK. After studying English Literature at Lancaster University, she now lives by the sea in Suffolk with her husband and children. She has written both fiction and non-fiction titles for Imagine That.

Nicola works as a freelance children's illustrator and designer and also creates surface pattern designs. After working as a Senior Designer for a children's publisher, Nicola decided to go solo and loves the diversity of her work that includes: board, lift the flap, touch and feel, sticker, activity, treasury, novels, cloth, bath, block, colouring, puzzles, games, sound, reference and educational books ... phew ... as well as boxsets, components, cards, brochures and packaging!
